24th August 2004 Windsurfing: knap, barry Wind Direction: west Wind Stength: 25+ Surf / Sea State: large chop Air Temperature: ok Sea Temperature: ok Weather: sunny spells Max Speed: Distance Covered: rung around few guys this morn ,but nobody was up for Treco or for a sail , so went to Knap on me tod .Was another non local guy out when i got there so after a quick chat see what size he,d been using went out .Wowwwwww 5.3m and acid too much , the non local guy was only going out about 500 m but further out was manic , rerigged to 4.5m and the 247jp wave , there aint many days in a year when i get that combo out . That was better spent several hrs then maxed out on the Jp , there wer,nt any waves to talk of as it was aft high tide but some swell on the outside to back some air time off .Eventually some of the nightshift started to arrive around 5pm but wind was falling away slightly , sailed untill 6pm when a broken mast uj but paid to the session . |
